The “Terminal” buttong in the new version of kali-pi menu launches a screen session (or returns to it on subsequent clicks).

To close the session and return to the menu, enter:

“Ctrl+a” “d” to detach but leave the session running
“exit” to close the session

This improves usability as we can leave the session running in the background whilst doing other things in the menu and we can attach to the running session from an ssh session
