I updated the Kali system (apt update && apt upgrade) after the updates the kismet (web) server doesn’t start anymore.

This is the error msg in putty screen:
kismet: error while loading shared libraries: libprotobuf.so.10: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I reinstalled kismet with apt but still the same problem.

How do i get the kismet (web) server running again.

I have the same issue. I did an update too but then went back and flashed a new img and had the same issue. There’s a problem with the distro. Going to have to switch until they get this fixed.

      I already fix it
      check your path
      #whereis libprotobuf.so.10
      first I got this
      /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libprotobuf.so.17
      get the deb
      Download deb here
      https://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=libprotobuf10
Choose your platform at the bottom
      extract and get
      libprotobuf10_3.0.0-9_armhf\data\usr\lib\arm-linux-gnueabihf
choose the bigger one and rename it ‘libprotobuf.so.10’
Put it in the path ‘whereis’
