      Hello, I downloaded:
      https://re4son.com/re4son/download/sticky-fingers-kali-pi/

      I executed:
      apt-get update
      apt-get upgrade
      apt-get dist-upgrade

      and changed the ssh keys

I am trying to enable autologin but when I tried to execute these steps:
      cd /usr/local/src/re4son-kernel_4*
      ./re4son-pi-tft-setup -a root

‘cd /usr/local/src/re4son-kernel_4*’ produces no such file or directory. I navigated to /usr/local/src/ and it was completely empty.

So I went to the site https://re4son-kernel.com/re4son-pi-kernel/ and downloaded the current stable version and placed it in the /usr/local/src/ folder

      now it contains:
      re4son-kernel_current.tar.xz
      re4son-kernel_current.tar.xz.part
      re4son-kernel_4.14.93-20190126

I was only able to expand the xz.part file

      When I enter /usr/local/src/re4son-kernel_4.14.93-20190126#:
      and run ./install.sh

      I get dpkg:
      error processing package realtek-rtl88xxau-dkms (–configure):
installed realtek-rtl88xxau-dkms package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 10
      Errors were encountered while processing:
      realtek-rtl88xxau-dkms
      E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
      Error completing: apt

Also, if I try the following:
      root@kali-pi:/usr/local/src# tar -xJf re4son-kernel_next.tar.xz

      it returns:
tar (child): re4son-kernel_next.tar.xz: Cannot open: No such file or directory
tar (child): Error is not recoverable: exiting now
      tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

I am an NOOB and am completely stumped… shouldn’t /usr/local/src/re4son-kernel_4 have existed from the start? Or am I missing something?

Please help, I am losing my mind… Thanks!

So I went back and re-downloaded the image and then did the manual installation of the kernel and the proper folder was there. However I still cannot run ./install.sh, or apt-get update && apt-get dist-update all because of the

      realtek-rtl88xxau-dkms error

I have removed and reinstalled realtek-rtl88xxau-dkms, and have looked all over the web and found no solution that works. Is there a workaround?

I have spent over 10 hours trying to find a solution but only others with the same unsolved issue.

      I get dpkg:

installed realtek-rtl88xxau-dkms package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 10
      Errors were encountered while processing:
      realtek-rtl88xxau-dkms
      E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
      Error completing: apt

After a day with no response I concluded its best not to use Re4son crap at all. Its incorporated into the new versions of Kali any way, so just follow these steps instead

Installing Kali Linux on Raspberry Pi 3b+ (2019.1) – TheSmokinApe
